fresh basil leaves, packed

extra virgin olive oil

grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Wash the basil leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or grit.
In a food processor, combine basil leaves, pine nuts, and minced garlic. Pulse them together until finely chopped.
With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until you achieve a smooth, glossy consistency.
Add grated Parmesan and lemon juice and pulse a few more times until fully incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the sauce into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
Using only the freshest ingredients is key to achieving the best flavor. Taste as you go to adjust seasoning to your preference.
