  • 1 lb. ground turkey ensure it’s fresh and not overly lean for moisture
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs whole wheat is recommended for added flavor
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped a sweet onion works best
  • ½ cup celery, finely chopped for a nice crunch
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
  • ¼ cup parsley, freshly chopped to brighten the dish
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning a blend of sage, thyme, rosemary, and marjoram
  • 1 large egg for binding
  • olive oil for cooking

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, onion, and celery. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix sautéed vegetables with ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cranberry sauce, parsley, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, and egg. Mix gently to avoid dense meatballs.
  4. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Serve with extra cranberry sauce drizzled on top and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure the internal temperature of the meatballs reaches 165°F for safety and juiciness.
