  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 slices turkey breast
  • 2 slices crispy bacon
  • fresh arugula or spinach
  • sliced avocado
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your pan over medium heat. Brush one side of each slice of sourdough bread lightly with olive oil.
  • On the un-oiled side of one slice, spread a generous tablespoon of Dijon mustard.
  • Layer your sandwich by starting with a slice of Swiss cheese, then add the turkey, bacon, fresh arugula, and avocado slices. Top it off with another slice of Swiss cheese and the second piece of sourdough.
  • Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated pan, oiled side down. Press down gently with a spatula and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  • Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove the sandwich from the pan and let it rest for a minute before slicing it in half to serve.
