- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water just before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Reduce the heat to low and slowly mix in the heavy cream, stirring until you achieve a gorgeous pink hue. Simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for the desired consistency.
- Divide the pasta among plates, garnishing with fresh basil leaves and a shower of grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy the comforting aroma and flavors!
