Ingredients

  • ¼ cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. minced ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. water adjust for desired consistency

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add ¼ cup of gochujang to start the base of the sauce.
  • Drizzle in 2 tablespoons of maple syrup followed by 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, whisking until glossy.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil for depth and aroma.
  • Incorporate 1 teaspoon each of minced garlic and minced ginger for added brightness.
  • Mix in 2 tablespoons of water if your sauce is too thick, adjusting to your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetness or spice according to your preference.

Notes

This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
