Ingredients

Group: Brownie Base
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Equipment

  • Oven
  • 8x8-inch baking pan
  • Blender or food processor
  • Mixing bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Blend the cottage cheese in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and melted butter until combined. Stir in the blended cottage cheese, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gently fold in the flour and cocoa powder, ensuring no overmixing.
  5. Add chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the edges are set and the center jiggles slightly.
  7. Cool for at least 15-20 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

Patience is key; waiting to cool will help achieve clean slices.
