Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil I love using a high-quality extra virgin olive oil for its rich taste.
  • 1 tsp. sea salt Adjust based on your preference; you can also use flavored salts!
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder A little goes a long way in enhancing the flavor.
  • 1 tsp. onion powder This adds a lovely depth to each bite.
  • Optional: Other spices Paprika, cayenne pepper, or dried herbs. Feel free to get creative!

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Sharp knife or kitchen shears

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Stack the pita breads and slice each round in half to create two thinner pitas.
  3. Place the pita halves in a large mixing bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Rub the oil over the surfaces to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the sea salt, garlic powder, and onion powder over the pita pieces. Toss to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the pita pieces in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown around the edges.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before enjoying!

Notes

Make sure to not overcrowd the baking sheet for even baking. Store in an airtight container for a week.
