Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 3 medium bell peppers (red, yellow, green)
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • a sprinkle sea salt

Equipment

  • Oven or Grill
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Tongs
  • Plastic bag or dish towel

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or get your grill hot and ready.
  2. Rinse the bell peppers under cold water and dry them thoroughly.
  3. Place whole peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and turn them to ensure they are well-coated.
  4. Roast the peppers in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally with tongs.
  5. Once roasted, place the peppers in a plastic bag or cover them with a dish towel. Let them steam for about 10 minutes.
  6. When they are cool enough to handle, carefully peel away the charred skin and slice them open to remove the seeds.
  7. Use your beautifully roasted peppers in salads, pasta, or spreads. Enjoy!

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet and ensure to preheat your oven or grill for perfect roasting.
