Creative and Comforting Thanksgiving Leftover Recipes

  • Leftover roasted turkey
  • Leftover stuffing
  • 1 cup Gravy
  • Shredded cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)

  • Hearty bread (sourdough or ciabatta)
  • Slices of turkey
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Stuffing
  • Slices of cheese (Swiss or provolone recommended)

  • Diced turkey
  • Leftover vegetables (green beans, corn, or carrots)
  • Gravy
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Onions
  • Garlic

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Skillet

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine your shredded turkey, leftover stuffing, and a cup of gravy. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. Top the mixture with shredded cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Prepare two slices of hearty bread.
  6. Layer turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and cheese on one slice of bread.
  7. Heat a skillet, butter the sandwich outside, and grill until golden brown and cheese melts.
  8. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  9. Sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  10. Add diced turkey and leftover veggies, pour in gravy, and mix together.
  11. Spread mixture in an oven-safe dish and top with mashed potatoes. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden.
