Sweet and Savory Honey Butter Chicken

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Pat dry the chicken thighs and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken thighs for 5–7 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and stir in remaining butter, honey, garlic, and soy sauce, letting it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the honey butter sauce.
  5. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with rice or vegetables.

Notes

Let chicken sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking for better results.
