Simple No-Bake Chocolate Tiffin

A delightful no-bake treat combining crunchy biscuits and rich chocolate for a perfect dessert.

Ingredients
  

Group: Base Ingredients
  • 200 g Digestive biscuits (or Graham crackers if you’re in the States)
  • 100 g unsalted butter, plus a bit more for greasing
  • 200 g dark chocolate High quality recommended (e.g., Lindt)
  • 100 g milk chocolate
  • 50 g golden syrup (or light corn syrup)
  • A pinch of sea salt

Equipment

  • 8-inch square baking tin
  • Rolling Pin
  • Medium saucepan
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Start by greasing an 8-inch square baking tin with a bit of unsalted butter.
  2. Put the digestives in a large zip-top bag, and crush them until they're broken into small chunks.
  3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine dark chocolate, milk chocolate, unsalted butter, and golden syrup. Stir gently until melted and glossy.
  4. Add a pinch of sea salt to the melted chocolate mixture. Pour the crushed biscuits into the melted chocolate mixture and stir gently.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin, pressing it down firmly with a spatula.
  6. Place the tin in the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once set, lift the tiffin out of the tin and cut into squares.

Notes

This no-bake dessert is flexible; feel free to customize with your favorite nuts or dried fruits!
