Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the French baguette into ½-inch thick diagonal slices.
- Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush each side lightly with extra-virgin olive oil. Toast for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- While the bread toasts, chop your cherry tomatoes in half and combine them with garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Toss gently.
- Once the bread is toasted, spoon the tomato mixture onto each slice just before serving.
- Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and enjoy.
Notes
For the best flavor, allow the tomato mixture to sit for at least 10 minutes before assembling.
