Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Once melted, remove from heat and mix in the granulated sugar. Then add the eggs one by one, and finish with the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture and fold gently. Optionally, fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
Allowing the brownies to cool before cutting will lead to a better texture and prevent crumbling.
