- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar, and a pinch of salt until well-combined.
- Lay the slices of brioche or challah in a shallow dish. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, soaking for a few minutes on each side.
- Heat a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat, add soaked bread slices, and cook until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- Plate the French toast warm, pile fresh berries on top, drizzle with maple syrup, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Be careful not to over-soak the bread and cook on medium heat for even results.
