Method
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line an 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter, soft brown sugar, and golden syrup over low heat, stirring until completely smooth.
- Fold the rolled oats, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into the melted mixture until well combined.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared dish, pressing down firmly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting into bars. Cool completely on a wire rack.
Notes
These flapjacks freeze beautifully! Wrap individual portions and store in an airtight container in the freezer.
